PlanetVirtuel Studios has radically redefined the principles behind the Virtual Reality Community, with their public opening of PlanetVirtuel, Internet Cybersociety on July 1, 2004. By steering clear of the crass, selfish policies and goals of other Virtual Reality projects in their quest to generate monetary profit and vast citizen membership roles above the better interests of the Virtual Reality Community itself, and the better interests of its Avatar Citizens, PlanetVirtuel alone has provided a refreshing return to the original concepts that the Cyberculture Virtual Reality Community was founded upon.
The PlanetVirtuel, Internet Cybersociety project was begun on July 1, 1999 by the legendary Virtual Reality personality, Sarai the Voodoogirl. Realizing just how far the state of the Virtual Reality Community had degenerated and deviated from its original purpose as a Utopian movement, the United world wide Virtual Reality avatar Community family of friends that was originally envisioned by Sarai and the other early pioneers of the Virtual Reality Community, she decided in the latter part of 1998 to break away from the established, degenerating Virtual Reality Community to devote all of her time as Galaxy Architect in the PlanetVirtuel Studios, PlanetVirtuel, Internet Cybersociety project.
The experimental PlanetVirtuel Virtual community project was commenced on July 1, 1999 as "Project Voodoo", a relatively compact multiuser Virtual Reality world attached to another Virtual Reality Community, and for five long years she and a host of her Avatar friends worked unceasingly on a private server redefining and reestablishing the original vision and concepts of the Virtual Reality Community, the same vision and concepts which have today become the cornerstone philosophies of the PlanetVirtuel, Internet Cybersociety Virtual Reality Community. Now residing in the Virtual Reality Community of the PlanetVirtuel Galaxy, the original experimental "Project Voodoo" is now a Virtual Reality town in the Ground Zero (GZ) area of Virtuél, the home public building planet of the PlanetVirtuel Virtual Reality Community.
PlanetVirtuel, Internet Cybersociety officially opened to the Avatar public on July 1, 2004, and the Virtual Reality community is now accepting Citizen Avatar immigrations and registrations. The PlanetVirtuel Browser, the Virtual Reality Community software for PlanetVirtuel is entirely free, and may be downloaded at absolutely no charge whatsoever. Tourism and tourist visas are available, and tourist visitors can enter the Virtual Reality Community Planet of "Virtuel", absolutely free, and at no charge.
And, in keeping to the original vision and purpose of the Virtual Reality Community, yearly Avatar Citizenships fees are very nominally priced at only $19.95 USA a year, providing the Avatars that inhabit the Virtual Reality Community full Avatar Citizenship at the lowest cost possible. PlanetVirtuel Internet Cybersociety does not support an Corporate Executive heirarchy and fancy offices, so that the funds collected can better be directed to the overall expenses, expansion, and support of the Virtual Reality Community itself.
