The concept of tourism, was adopted in PlanetVirtuel, in the hopes that this method would better serve the current and prospective inhabitants of the PlanetVirtuel Galaxy. However, the "Tourist" mode offers some very serious limitations and exclusions in comparison to registered citizenship.
For example, Tourists cannot secure their important community persona in either Avatar form nor Citizen Name, they cannot build; they cannot send nor recieve telegrams, "locate" and "join" other individuals, or send files to them; they can neither maintain a contact list nor vote, they cannot use chat "whisper" mode, use the messageboard system, nor hold a job; and can choose from only one of two "tourist" avatars.
In addition, they may ejected from the planet or Universe at any time, be prevented from entering certain areas, or even be excluded from the Galaxy or individual Planets entirely. There are many benefits in becoming a registered citizen, and you can have the confidence of knowing that your support goes directly to the preservation, evolution, and expansion of the PlanetVirtuel Galaxy!
