Avatar Datafile |
From time to time, there are changes and updates made to the Avatar arrangement on the various Planets, and in order to recieve, or be able to see these differences, its is sometimes necessary for users to manually delete a file in their PlanetVirtuel Galaxy install, known by filename as "avatar.dat". When this file is deleted, and the PlanetVirtuel browser is restarted, the newest avatar.dat version for the Planet is recieved from the community server and is automatically reinstalled. This process will not take place unless the current avatar.dat file is deleted.
You can easily locate the avatar.dat file, by following this path:
C:\PlanetVirtuel\cache\art\www.planetvirtuel.com-galaxy-planets-virtuel\avatar.dat
Follow the above path to locate avatar.dat. Delete the file by right clicking on it, and selecting "delete" from the Windows file menu. The PlanetVirtuel browser must be closed before you do this, and the browser will need to be restarted after this deletion, in order to recieve the new avatar.dat version. The procedure is identical for other planets within the galaxy, with the exception that the folder name of the planet holding the avatar.dat will be different.
